Gastro Woes, Airbnb Hell, and a Glimmer of Progress
Oh man… I actually went a whole week without writing my diary, gonna be a short one this week as I try to remember what I did, here goes…

Quite an uneventful week this week if I’m honest… I’m at the end of my tether with this Airbnb we’re in, it’s an absolute turd-pile, but thankfully moving out on Wednesday into somewhere a bit nicer. (Spoiler alert: it’s very nice!)
For most of the week I knuckled down with work, I’ve managed to get an ongoing retainer now which is fantastic, so I’ve been busy with that.
Later on in the week, my cavalier approach to food hygiene finally caught up with me as I had a bout of gastroenteritis which wiped me out for a few days. Result.
What else… oh fitness is on the up and I think I should be looking at full recovery in the next 2 months, things are looking good. I’ve even signed up for a marathon in October… wish me luck!
I’m due back on home turf in a few weeks, and after some reflection, I’ve changed my flights to drastically reduce my stay from 3 weeks to 1 week. It’s been a big source of anxiety for me recently, my home town is a huge source of unhappy memories and is exactly why I left and why I won’t return. There are collectively about 5 people that I want to see and then I’ll scurry off into the sunset.
Closing up, I’ve started the process for my temporary residence visa (more on this soon), I need to collect quite a bit of paperwork but it doesn’t look too mega. It’s the dog side of things that’s more laborious would you believe. But we’re getting there!
